I am writing to let you know I currently have the domain name [Our domain] available for purchase. Because I am looking to clear out my domain names by the end of May, I would be willing to offer you [Our domain] below market value for use with your antenna testing facility's online home at [Their domain]. If you would like to consider acquiring this domain name, please reply to this message before noon ET this Friday, 4/17. In the event I do not hear from you by that point, I will contact my next [Our domain] candidate. We completely understand that you're running on a tight budget and have accounted for both of these fact in selecting a price for you. The most accurate way to gauge a domain's market value is to base it off similar domains' sales listings. 11 double-word .com domains beginning with Antenna- are currently listed at Buy / Domains / com (NameMedia, Inc.), the largest domain retailer on the web and most influential trendsetter on domain pricing. The tags on these 11 domains range from $800 to $52,500 (median is $1988 for Antenna / Boost / com), which represents the ballpark amount the seller of a domain beginning with Antenna- may expect to receive in exchange for such a name. As we did promise to present you a price below market value, we would be willing to offer you [Our domain] for $495. If you chose to move forward we would transfer you [Our domain] and then invoice your group via PayPal, or an alternate money transfer service of your choosing. Putting myself in your shoes, I would probably start off by configuring [Our domain] to forward to your established site at [Their domain] as a catch-all for viewers who type ".com" the end of your domain name instead of ".net". Once your company finds time enough to build a landing page on [Our domain], Google would take haste to rank it as the #1 match on searches for "[Their domain's keywords]" due to the exact match between domain name and search query (we see that your [Their domain] already ranks at #3 on that term). The expression "[Their domain's keywords] is Google-searched 12,000 times annually according to the Google AdWords Keyword Tool and, quite clearly, a substantial percentage of users searching this term would click the Google match which lead them to [Our domain]. Based on the 12,000 figure, we are confident we would earn at least $495/year ourselves by merely building a landing page on [Our domain] and filling it with targeted sponsored links. We look forward to hearing your thoughts and will keep our offer open through next Tuesday if necessary. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone (XXX.XXX.XXXX) if you have any questions before we potentially move forward. I meant to say "We completely understand that you're running on a tight budget and have accounted for this fact in selecting a price for you". We looking forward to hearing back. It is interesting indeed. Well, OK the price is acceptable. Its a number I can work with at $495. And yes I know its a good name I do see our page 3rd in Google already. Now just wondering on the trust issue, I mean payment transfer and site control transfer. Im sure you are honest but the horror stories are everywhere. I am also 100% but you also dont know that for sure. I had to buy a site name for another company last year and seller used a service that holds the money in escrow until buyer OKs the product, in this case URL control. I think Paypal could handle this for us but I do a lot with papal and know how bad they can be at times. If you are selling other page names this escrow service will help you a lot. If you dont know it I can find out the contact link and send it to you. From there you deal wih them and they send me a money request. I remember at the time I sent them a bank check or wire transfer, and 2 weeks later the URL was released and a week later the buyer got the money. Raul
